Most Owners and Dealers carry their own insurance covering you and their vehicle. You may also request your own coverage through your own carrier. Most carriers simply add the insurance (binder) coverage for the time needed. Some companies charge a minimum for the time required, You will be advised of the owners insurance coverage and any information you may need to provide to your insurance agent.
 
 
Some coaches with high dollar values may have additional fees.
 
 
Question : Can I purchase higher limits than statutory?
   
Answer :
Yes. You may be given the option to purchase Supplemental Liability Insurance. Not all owners carry this option. Additional liability insurance may be available through www.rvsli.com
   
Question : How much third party liability do I get?
   
Answer :
State Statutory Limits. The statutory limit in the province or state where the accident occurs will apply.
   
Question : What is collision?
   
Answer :
It is an accident that is caused by our owner’s vehicle colliding with or running into another vehicle or object.
   
Question : What is comprehensive?
   
Answer :
Damage caused by wind, fire, hail, theft and vandalism besides collision.
   
Question : What are the deductibles on comprehensive and collision?
   
Answer :
The deductibles vary from owner to owner. Consult with your dealer.
   
Question :
What are Medical Payments and or Personal Injury Protection, (Med Pay and PIP)?
   
Answer :
Amount paid per person for injuries incurred by all occupants of your vehicle.
   
Question :
What are Uninsured Motorist and Underinsured Motorist coverages?
   
Answer :
Amount the UM insurance company pays to you and any passengers that are injured in an accident that was caused by an uninsured or underinsured motorist driving the other vehicle.
   
Question : What about additional driver coverage?
   
Answer :
They will be covered. All additional drivers must be listed on your rental contract with the rental owner dealer in order to be covered by the insurance.
   
Question : What if I extend my time period with the vehicle?
   
Answer :
First you will need to obtain permission from the rental dealer. Then you may have to contact the insurance company and purchase additional days or the owner dealer will advise their carrier of the additional days. This is if you are using the insurance provided by their carrier.
   
Question : What do I do if I am involved in an accident?
   
Answer :  
   
1.
Exchange driver license and insurance verification information with the other party involved in the accident.
   
2. Get a police report if at all possible.
   
3.
Report the claim to the owner dealer as soon as possible after the accident.
   
4.
You may be required to fill out an accident report.

What do I do if there is some damage during the trip other than an accident?
   
Answer :
Simply notify the owner dealer upon return of the vehicle
